Textastic full screen1/31/2024 ![]() Since the app already supports Secure File Transfer Protocol (SFTP), adding a terminal window to this SSH feature shouldn't be too much to ask. One feature that I would really like to see included in the next version of the product is something else great text editing environment, coda(an iOS app geared towards web app development) currently has an integrated SSH terminal. While I admit that having bookmarks adds metadata to text files, making sharing text files across platforms challenging, at least having the bookmarks available while the file lives solely in the Textastic environment would be a welcome productivity boost. There is still a feature missing compared to popular desktop text editors like sublime texto text companionit's the ability to create and retrieve bookmarks, something I use regularly, especially on large files. Using these special characters is also useful when using Textastic's Find and Replace function, as the function supports regular expression searches for more accurate results. After a while, this selection process becomes second nature. Swiping on the desired character will generate it within the document. Although these special keys are tiny on an iPhone screen, selecting these virtual keys is intuitive thanks to the way they can be touched, expanding the various characters on the key to a larger size. Both iPhone and iPad feature a custom row of keys on the virtual keyboard that provides access to the most common programming characters, such as square brackets and square brackets, pipe and hash symbols, and even multi-tab indents. Too bad it's only available in the iPad version. ![]() But when an external keyboard is too bulky or not available, the navigation wheel comes in handy. That said, the optimal Textastic experience is on an iPad Pro using the Apple Smart Keyboard (Textastic supports additional developer-focused keyboard shortcuts by holding down the Command or Control key on an external keyboard). You can also invoke a cursor scroll wheel on iPad for more precise directional movements when performing a two-finger tap within the editor. Swiping one finger left or right on the screen moves the text cursor one character, two fingers move it one word, and three fingers one section or paragraph at a time. There's no game notes and I like to read them in the game view screen. When I select a platform, the loading screen was taking too long and I could already see the games view by the time the loading screen showed up. The transitions from platform to games list to game details were too slow for me. My resolution is actually set at 1680 by 1050 in Windows but scaled to 125%. My resolution screen is not 1920 by 1080, it's a little bit bigger than that and so it wasn't filling the whole screen. I love using Retrotastic but it has a few issues for me: A Retrotastic 2.04 but for any resolution screen! And with a couple of other tweaks!
